Retrospective Henri Cartier Bresson
For the photography lovers, Centre Pompidou celebrates until June 9th the photographer Henri Cartier Bresson. Ten years after his death, the famous museum offers a retrospective of the work of this legendary figure of the 20th century photography. With more than 500 works, the exhibition presents many facets of the artist.
Acting on the same principle, Grand Palais highlights the work of Robert Mapplethorpe, a major photographer of the New York’s underground scene in the 70-80s. With his particular style, according to black and white, the retrospective shows the portraits, pictures and still lifes of the artist.
Gustave Doré, l’imaginaire au pouvoir
Musée d’Orsay celebrates Gustave Doré’s work, one of the most prodigious artists of the 19th century. For this 1st retrospective, you will discover different facets of this French artist: engraving, illustration, painting … all those works have a unique place in the contemporary imagination.
Through unique works, Museum Marmottan-Monet provides the history of Impressionism with the unpublished works of famous artists as Edouard Manet, Frédéric Bazille, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and many others…
Bill Viola
For March 5th 2014 until July 21st 2014, discover at the Grande Nef, Bill Viola’s works, the most famous representative of video art. From 1977 until today, this exhibition combines paintings in motion and monumental installations.
PARIS 1900, La Ville Spectacle
Petit Palais brings us back to the early 20th century. This travel back in time, through more than 600 works of art (paintings, costumes, posters, pictures, films, furniture, jewelry, sculptures …), focuses on artists and fashion of the golden Parisian age.

Circus and theaters ‘universes are showcased in this exhibition dedicated to young and older people. You will return into childhood with the discover of different toys related to the world of circus, performances shade or 200 coins collection issued from the two great popular entertainments of 19th and 20th centuries.
Picasso à Montmartre
For an original and cultural visit, Museum of Montmartre brings us back to the Montmartre’s 1900s: the time of Pablo Picasso and Fernande Olivier. The exhibition looks through different bubbles of four volumes on the highlights of the Comic Strip “Pablo” created by Julie BIRMANT and Clément OUBRERIE. A unique and exciting time in Paris.
